Distance: ~0.521 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. Swanky and decidedly upscale, Mink has several diverse party spaces, including a two-level rooftop patio flanked by palm trees. The vibe is smooth and classy, but plenty of people come here to get down on the dance floor, too. Just be sure to dress well – no athletic wear!

250 Adelaide St W, Toronto  ON  M5H 1X6 • 416-593-6126
Distance: ~0.670 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. A traditional dance club, Afterlife combines a multi-level space with a variety of music to great effect. It's wildly popular, especially with an energetic young crowd. Décor is modern industrial with exposed ducts and beams, flashing lights and huge dance floors. The roof top patio offers a slightly quieter respite.

Fluid Lounge
(Nightlife - Dance Clubs)
217 Richmond St W, Toronto  ON • 416-593-6116
Distance: ~0.749 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. Located in the heart of Toronto's club district, Fluid has been a favorite since it opened in 1995. Weekly theme nights, flashy disco-ball lighting, lots of cool water features (to complement the moniker), multiple bars and several comfy seating areas make this a winner with wide appeal.

259 Richmond St W, Toronto  ON  M5V 3M6 • 416-598-1632
Distance: ~0.835 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. With 28-foot ceilings, elaborate lighting effects and a top-of-the-line sound system, Republik is a world class nightspot. The futuristic vibe is augmented by cutting edge DJs spinning the newest and best. Definitely one of TO's best dance clubs.

This is London
(Nightlife - Dance Clubs)
364 Richmond St W, Toronto  ON  M5V 1X6 • 416-351-1100
Distance: ~1.026 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. Well, technically, it isn't London, but it sure feels like it could be! The décor is old school British upper class: carefully finished wood floors, overstuffed armchairs, chandeliers and a fireplace. It's popular and difficult to get in – you may want to call ahead a few days and get yourself on the guest list. And whatever you do, don't show up in shredded jeans and flip flops.

Guvernment / Kool Haus Entertainment Complex
(Nightlife - Dance Clubs)
132 Queens Quay E, Toronto  ON  M5A 3Y5 • 416-869-1462
Distance: ~1.037 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. Massive is the operational word here. This place is huge – it's actually several clubs in one, each with its own vibe and specialty. Whether you want to dance til the wee hours, catch a live band, or sip champagne with friends, you can do it here.

Devil's Martini
(Nightlife - Dance Clubs)
473 Adelaide St W, Toronto  ON  M5V 1T1 • 416-603-9300
Distance: ~1.517 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. A big club with ample space for dancing or lounging, Devil's Martini has a 25+ door policy. It's a carefully groomed group, too, so don't show up in ripped jeans and a ball cap. The upstairs space is stylish and sleek and where most of the dancing takes place. Downstairs is more cozy and relaxed, with plenty of seating. Wherever you end up, cocktails and import beer are the beverages of choice.

Fly
(Nightlife - Dance Clubs)
8 Gloucester St, Toronto  ON  M4Y 1L5 • 416-925-6222 • 416-410-5426
Distance: ~2.351 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. A massive 10,000 square foot club with three floors, Fly pulls in a great mix of people, some who come for the talented DJs, some who appreciate the mellow, seductive lounge areas. The place gets absolutely packed, so it's probably not the best place to wear that wool sweater. Fly had a role in the TV show Queer as Folk, as the Babylon nightclub.

Annex Wreck Room
(Nightlife - Dance Clubs)
794 Bathurst St, Toronto  ON  M5R 3G1 • 416-536-0346
Distance: ~3.238 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. Wreck Room is a play on words – this place has a casual, rock-and-roll vibe with pool tables, a dance floor, arcade games and a huge bar, sort of like a glorified rec room. There's a stage for live acts, but usually DJs provide the sounds, which range from alt rock and Brit rock to retro and electronica.

Mod Club
(Nightlife - Dance Clubs)
722 College St W, Toronto  ON  M6G 3G7 • 416-588-4663
Distance: ~3.243 km
Description: DOWNTOWN. Owned by musician Mark Holmes (of Platinum Blonde fame), Mod Club is a love-it or hate-it dance club and theater venue for established and up-and-coming bands, mostly from the UK. Fans insist it's the best place to catch bands that no one else books; detractors complain about long line-ups and less than friendly staff. But if you're a fan of the British "sound," there's no better place to hear it in all of TO!
