A veritable consumer paradise, Plaza Kukulkán also boasts several sporting goods, handicrafts, and jewelry stores. If shoppers want to break away expanding their wardrobe, then they can also choose to take diving lessons at AquaWorld, surf the Web at the Cancunet cyber café, or exchange a few bucks for dineros at the American Express desk.

        Description: ZONA HOTELERA. Plaza Caracol enables shopping enthusiasts to get some of the best deals on name brand clothes-often letting them buy for less than they would in the States. Stores like Gucci, Bally, Cartier, Pelletier-Piaget, and Ralph Lauren head up the designer clothes section, and there are several jewelry shops, art galleries, and fragrance stores located here as well. Those demanding convenience as well as selection will be happy to find out that the mall also has a currency exchange bank, two pharmacies, and several fine restaurants to keep them from having to go somewhere else to feast.

        Description: DOWNTOWN. Plaza Las Americas will make you think that you've stepped into a modern shopping mall in your hometown. Two of the only true department stores in Cancún, Sears and JC Penny, are a couple of the names you'll find here. Other names the diehard-shopper-in-you will recognize are Sony, Radio Shack, and Guess. Of course, what would trip to the mall be without fast food and a movie? Plaza Las Americas can satisfy these tastes with Burger King, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and eight cinemas.

        Description: ZONA HOTELERA. Plaza Mayafair is a far cry from the larger shopping malls in the city, but it is one of the best for finding a decent range of shops, restaurants, and bars without the hubbub of the crowds. Plus, because it's an open-air mall, there's no better way to shop while still being able to enjoy the Cancún sun. Decorated in a rainforest motif, the mall also has nightly Mayan dance and music shows.
